According to the NHS, there are around 750 new cases of eye cancer in the UK every year.
Eye cancer is cancer that starts in the eye. This is a rare type of cancer. It’s more likely that cancer starts elsewhere in the body and spreads to the eye. For example, breast cancer or lung cancer could spread to the eye.
Most eye cancers are melanomas, a type of skin cancer. This can be found by an optician during a routine eye test.
