Brave Tom completes his walk
Tom Buckley
CANCER sufferer Tom Buckley is celebrating today after completing his gruelling 180-mile charity walk - to help other Christie patients.
When the 23-year-old set off he was not sure he would even be able to finish - but after battling through blizzards, snow drifts, freezing temperatures and pouring rain for 18 days he has reached the finish and netted £50,000 for Manchester's world leading cancer hospital, Christie.
Tom, who has been given less than a year to live, hoped to collect just a few hundred pounds when he decided to take on the Coast-to-Coast challenge.
