Conducting for Christie’s
Organisers Chris Cullen and Sarah Hamilton (in white) with Christie representatives Emma Kennedy and John Griffiths at the recent NXP Olympics.
Staff at NXP Semi-conductors in Hazel Grove are hoping to raise £5,000 for the Christie Hospital.
More than 90 staff have dubbed themselves NXP4C – NXP for Christie’s – and are planning a year-long series of events to raise as much money as possible for the specialist cancer centre.
Their first event held recently was the NXP Olympics, where employees and their families were treated to an array of activities including a bucking bronco, a surf competition and a grunge the manager competition.
Corporate and events officer at the Christie, Emma Kennedy, said: “We’re thrilled that NXP have chosen to support our hospital for the next 12 months and we’re very much looking forward to working with the team.
NXP4C can next be seen at the Christie’s Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride on July 13th. They can be sponsored online at www.justgiving.com/mxpsemiconductorshzg
