BOOZER BOOSTS CHRISTIE FUNDS

Staff and regulars at
the Brown Cow in Bury have presented The Christie
with another bumper cheque for £2,350,
taking their impressive fundraising total for the specialist
cancer treatment centre to more than £10,000.
The Burrs
Country park pub first started raising cash for Christie's
around five years ago after nominating the hospital as its
official charity.
And since then, a whole host of events have
been organised in including charity nights, weekly bonus ball
competition
and drinkers and staff have even taken part in the annual
Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride.
Manager Chris Brown
said: “Everyone in our pub knows
someone who has been touched by Christie's, so we all
feel it's a very important charity to support. We have
a lot of fun raising money for a very worthy cause, and we're
delighted to hand over this latest cheque.”
