MANCHESTER MILES FOR CHRISTIE'S
Christie's is looking for people to join them in the
Manchester 100 - an annual event which challenges cyclists
to complete either 100 miles or 100 kilometres in the
name of charity.
Taking place on Sunday September 4th
from Wythenshawe Park, the Manchester 100 Mile will see
cyclists riding
through a wide sweep of Cheshire including Delamere
Forest and Nantwich.
And the Manchester 100 KM route shares
the start in Wythenshawe before hitting Northwich and
Middlewich.
The ride is fully marshalled with regular stops,
first aid, mechanics and pick-up vehicles. Entrants can
also
choose their own time band so they can complete the
ride at their own pace.
Christie Corporate and Events
Officer, Jenny Haskey, says: "Our first cycling event
of the year, the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride in July,
proved to
be a massive success and we're hoping for a repeat
performance with the Manchester 100.
" The Manchester
100 is a real challenge for keen cyclists and we hope
to enlist as many people as possible to help
raise money for cancer research and treatment at the
Christie."
Entrance to the Manchester 100 costs £12.50 for
the 100 mile race and £10.50 for the 100 KM race.
Each individual or team raising money for Christie's
will be awarded with a certificate on completion of the
ride and a medal on receipt of sponsor monies over £25.00.
The
event is supported by Soreen, who have donated Go Bars
and Britvic who have donated bottles of water.
