left to right is landlord Cliff Russell, Christie representative Carl Sharpe and charity committee member Cliff Duxbury
Staff and regulars at the Shamrock Pub in Standish have raised a
superb £1,000 for Christie's, the charity which
raises funds for Manchester's The Christie.
The impressive sum
was raised at a 'gig in the garden' where despite torrential rain,
hundreds braved the elements to listen to local
singers A Way of Life who put on entertainment for the day.
The Shamrock
pub charity committee met with Wigan and Leigh Fundraisers for Christie's
chairman Carl Sharpe recently to hand over the cheque.
