The studio raises £2,000 for Christie's A team from Manchester's The Studio made a real push for Christie
Hospital and gained £2,002.
That's the amount the advertising, production and print company
gave to the cancer centre following an event that definitely didn't
need brain-storming ideas. The only storming done was a rapid pedal
push to the finishing post of the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride.
"It was lousy weather - wet and windy all the way and one of
us had a puncture. But in a perverse sense we enjoyed it and we'll
probably do it again for Christie's. It s good to give something
back, especially for such a deserving cause. We're pleased to have
had a lot of support from clients and suppliers as well as families
and friends," said Martin Lyons, from Bolton, a director of
the company.
The cheque was presented to Paul Bailey, Christie's Appeals Projects
Manager (far left) by Martin (third right) and co-riders (left to
right) printer Paul Bolton, from Ellenbrook, Worsley; studio manager
Carl Webster, from Farnworth; Brian Coombs, sales director, from
Hale, and Jonathan Beer, photographer, from Stockport. Also taking
part in the ride, but not pictured, was sales representative Ray
Foy, from Bolton.
