Five-a-side nets £4,000 for Christie's
Five-a-side nets £4,000 for Christie's Two-year-old specialist recruitment company Professional Personnel
Management have scored an impressive £4,000 for The Christie
from their first corporate charity event.
Eleven teams of PPM's Greater Manchester suppliers and customers took
part in a boisterous five-a-side football tournament at the city's
JJB Soccer Dome, where the name of the winning team, Mog's Mad Dogs,
reflected the state of play.
"We had a lot of laughs - and I was pleased that everyone
was so keen to support Christie's. I know an awful lot of people
who have had some connection with the cancer centre so I wanted
it to benefit from our first major charity event," said Mike
Fogarty, Managing Director of Eccles-based PPM, which specialises
in facilities management and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning
sectors.
Mike, who lives in Hale, and recruitment consultant Sara Adams,
from Baguley, who helped organise the tournament, are delighted
with its success and are likely to make it an annual event. They
are pictured with Toni Leden (left), Christie's Deputy Appeals Director.
