The Manchester Million Appeal - More about the appeal and men's cancer
What are the men’s cancers?
Sir Bobby Charlton - Patron of Manchester Million
The cancers the Manchester Million will be raising funds for are prostate and testis cancer that are exclusive to men and some like bladder and kidney cancer which are more common in men. Collectively they represent one of the commonest forms of malignancy and the devastating effect they have on men and their families.
What is the appeal funding?
All funds raised from the Manchester Million appeal will go to much needed research into men’s cancer at The Christie, one of the largest treatment centres in Europe.
Unfortunately Manchester and the North West have some of the highest instances of men’s cancers in the UK. The Manchester Million whilst raising much needed funds also aims to create awareness to encourage men to get themselves checked out.
