Leaving a gift in your will - Legacy Information
Most Frequent Questions
Why should I make a will?
Most of us put off making a will because it's something we don't want to think about. But making a will can help you plan your finances and ensure that your assets are distributed in accordance with your wishes. You requests will be carried out properly, making arrangements easier on your family and friends.
Do I have to use a solicitor ?
We strongly advise that you seek professional advice when writing a will. home made wills can often be full of ambiguities and could mean that your wishes are not easily understood or adhered to correctly.
Making a will through your local solicitor is a quick, simple and relatively inexpensive procedure. If you don't have a solicitor and would like us to put you in touch with one in your local area, please call out Legacy Officer, John Bremend on 0161 918 7424
If I leave something to The Christie in my will, will my family lose out?
No, you can divide your estate how you want, and designate a set amount for your charity donation, so nobody loses out.
What if my circumstances change - is changing my Will easy?
Yes. Your solicitor can make simple changes to your Will easily and
inexpensively. For instance, adding The Christie to your will is as
simple as adding a paragraph called a codicil.
Does a legacy have to be a large amount?
Not at all. It can be as small or as large as you want. And whatever
it is will be received with gratitude and used to help give hope to
others.
How do I refer to The Christie if I want to leave a gift in my will?
