Join Christie's fundraisers
Join fundraisers
There are so many ways in which you can help the work of The Christie
hospital, and one of them is to become a fundraiser for Christie's.
Some fundraisers come to us full of ideas with an event already
fully planned and organised. Others know they want to do something,
but need our help to generate ideas and point them in the right
direction.
So what kind of fundraiser would you like to be? Are you
planning to hold an event together with help from your friends,
relatives
and colleagues, or would you like to become a member of one of
our
local fundraising teams? Do you like to be in charge or prefer
to help others in the group as and when they need it? How much
time
are you able to give, and what sort of skills could you use? Whatever
you decide, we'll be there to help you every step of the way.
If you'd rather meet and help existing fundraisers, then why
not join one of our fundraising groups. There are several local
teams based around the North West region who are always on the
lookout
for new members and helpers. Have a look at our Directory
of groups page to find out how to contact your nearest fundraising
team.
If you're stuck for ideas about what to do to raise funds
then why not consult our Factsheets page.
There are lots of helpful ideas here as well as more information
about the items we can supply you with to really make the most
of
your event.
Once you have decided on your event, then you'll need a few
things from us to get you started. Contact the Appeals Office
and
ask for one of our fundraising packs. This will give you
lots of helpful information on planning your event. It will also
include a registration form. You can also obtain a copy of this form
online (Adobe PDF File). When you have completed this
and returned it to the Appeals Office, we can them issue you
with
a letter of authorisation. This will act as proof that you are
raising money legitimately for The Christie.
If you plan to do lots of events and fundraising for us over a
period of time, them you should obtain an identification badge.
You'll
need to supply the Appeals Office with a passport sized photo, then
we can process your badge. So make sure you've received the
correct type of authorisation - and then you're ready
to fundraiser!
