Over 850 runners donned a Christie's T-shirt to pound the city centre streets and we would like to say a big thank you to each and every one of you!
On the day members of the Appeals Team were on hand in the charity village at Manchester Central (the Gmex) to hand out much needed refreshments to our thirsty runners. Our supporters were also encouraged to add their own message to our wall, and we were all moved by your touching stories. For those of you who didn't make it to the village, we're sorry we missed you and thank you for your support!
Last year our Great Manchester Run team raised a fantastic £150,000 - smashing the previous year's total! This year we are hopeful that, with your help, we can raise even more! Please help us to keep track of this year's total by submitting your sponsorship monies as soon as you can. All cheques should be made payable to The Christie and if you could keep the number of individual cheques that you send to a minimum that would really help us to cut down our administration costs.

The Great Manchester Run is an extremely popular event and fills more and more quickly each year - this year it filled in just 6 days! To avoid disappointment please register for the reminder service for the 2009 event now at www.greatrun.org
