Charity Challenges
Kilimanjaro
Christie's has teamed up with Charity Challenge to give you the unique opportunity to take part in an overseas trek, climb or ride of your life whilst raising vital funds for The Christie.
Whether you have ever dreamed of climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, wandering the lost city of Machu Picchu and trekking the Inca Trail or walking the Great Wall of China to name but a few on offer, we can help you achieve an experience of a lifetime!
Challenges last between eight and 10 days, and many are based in less developed countries than the UK. Internal infrastructures are often limited, roads rough and facilities basic, which can in itself be a challenge but all part of the fun!
Participation can be as an individual or maybe you can get a team together and do something different - as part of company or social club. Staff development and team building could be taken to another level. You can improve staff skills whilst gaining some positive PR as fundraising and preparation takes approximately a year.
Everest Base camp Age is no barrier and participants come from all walks of life, each with their own reason to raise funds for Christie's. For some the physical exertion of the trek may be a small part of the challenge, the greatest challenge may be raising the sponsorship. To take part there is a registration fee for each challenge. From there you will either need to raise the minimum sponsorship - approx £2750, or if the pressure of that target is a little off-putting, you can agree to pay the full cost - between £1330 & £1795 - and then raise as much sponsorship as possible.
We will help you with the planning and organisation of any ideas or fundraising events and we will encourage you throughout your challenge from the moment that you sign up.

"I have had the time of my life, met fantastic people
and seen and an amazing place. I have challenged myself physically,
mentally and emotionally to limits I never knew I could reach.
I can achieve anything now!"
Amanda, Everest Base Camp Challenger.
"I wanted to help beat this terrible disease in memory
of my close friend. I heard that Christie's needed people
to take part in tough overseas challenges and raise cash for
them. I decided this was a fantastic way for me to do my bit"
Dan, Kilimanjaro Challenger
