Charitable trusts and foundations
Staff from Healthsure with Professor Tim Illidge
Christie's relies heavily on voluntary donations and we would like to develop relationships with Charitable Trusts and Foundations who are committed to helping people with cancer.
How your trust or foundation can help Christie's in the fight against cancer
If you are a trustee or have links with a charitable trust or foundation, you can help us. Charitable trusts and foundations play a fundamental role in helping us towards our vision of a future without cancer. There are a number of ways in which your trust or foundation can help, including:
- Supporting a specific appeal, piece of equipment or research project
- Donating regularly
- Giving a one-off gift
Projects that Trusts and Foundations have helped to support:
- Funding of a living with cancer counsellor
- Funding of a research radiographer
- Purchase of a Gamma Camera
- Furniture for a relaxation room for patients
- Gene Therapy Research
- Radioimmunotherapy
What your support could achieve:
- £1000 would buy a day chair for dependent patients on the Critical Care Unit…….
- £2000 would buy a Graseby pump to deliver chemotherapy to patients. We need 12 new pumps this year!
- £5,000 would buy an ECG machine for the critical care unit, or a platelet incubator for the Adult Leukaemia Unit…….
- £10,000 would buy a small microscope or a hydrotherapy bath…..
- £50,000 would buy a bronchoscope which could be used to monitor and treat lung cancer patients, or a laparoscope for our surgeons…..
- £100,000 would fund a research radiographer for 3 years…..
- £500,000 would enable us to set up a new Radioimmunotherapy unit to develop radio-labelled antibodies for the treatment of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and other cancers.
Thank you!
The support and loyalty we have received from Trusts and Foundations over the years has been fantastic. Thank you to everyone!
