Donations In Memorium
Donations in lieu of flowers from a funeral are very
much appreciated. Funeral Directors are usually happy to organise
collecting
the contributions and take responsibility for forwarding them to
us. The donations are noted in the name of the deceased person
and we send an acknowledgement to the next of kin.
Making a donation
to Christie's is a very special way to remember a loved one, especially
on a memorable date such as an anniversary
or birthday.
Donations can be used to fund cancer research, to contribute
to the provision of specialist medical equipment and to provide those
extras which give the hospital its special comforting and therapeutic
atmosphere for patients undergoing treatment for all types of cancer.
We hope you can take comfort from knowing that your kind support
will benefit our patients both now, and in the future.
When you make
an in memoriam donation, we will send you a personal acknowledgment
letter (if required) and, after allowing time for
other donations to arrive, we will also send an acknowledgment
to the next of kin with the total sum donated and a list naming
the donors (the amounts of individual donations will not be disclosed).
We set up a tribute record so that you can continue to make donations
and over the years family and friends are provided with a lasting
record of all the donations made in memory their loved one.

ways to make an in memoriam donation - you may wish to make a donation
on line, visit the Appeals Office in person, or send a cheque
(made payable to 'The Christie
Hospital') to the address below:

Please remember to tell us who your donation is in memory of,
and your relationship to them. Thank you.
Your gift could be worth even more if you are a tax payer and
you complete a Gift Aid declaration and send it with your cheque.
