Investing in your community
Christie Nurse
The Christie is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe and every year we register 12,000 new patients and treat over 40,000. We cover a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, but also treat patients with specific cancers from across the UK. Our research is world class and the findings have an impact on treatment practices globally.
With a turnover of over £130m a year and 2,000 staff, The Christie plays an important economic role in the region and can offer a range of benefits to potential partners.
Corporate Social Responsibility has grown in importance over recent years for companies of all sizes. Many businesses now recognise the impact they have on the communities and environment they operate in and the positive role they can play.
The Christie plays a vital role in the community of Greater Manchester and Cheshire and by working with us companies can improve the lives of people living in the region.
At The Christie there are a range of projects, from cutting-edge research, state of the art equipment, to innovative patient support services which need funding. It is these projects which make The Christie one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, with an exceptional reputation for patient care. This is only possible with the support of the business community.
