The appeals team are based just opposite the Holt Entrance of The Christie
Hospital on Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester.

Toni
Leden - Appeals Director
As head of fundraising, my job is to plan and implement the fundraising strategy and manage the Appeals team, ensuring the highest possible standards of service to fundraisers and donors. I also lead our corporate and major donor fundraising and manage legacy marketing.
Lesley
Birkhead - Deputy Appeals Director
I look after two teams of staff at the Appeals office, the Regional team which supports our fundraising groups, our individual fundraisers and also assist with some of our major fundraising events, like the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride and also the Administration team. I try to ensure that all our generous fundraisers and donors are supported in their efforts and thanked for all their kind donations.

Haskey - Events Programme Manager
I am responsible for developing The Christie's Events Programme. This includes organising and supporting a number of mass participation fundraising events including our annual bike rides, the Great Run Series, as well as Christie's walking events. I also manage our three year partnership with Manchester United.
Carol Frain – Database Administrator
My role is to provide technical support on the database to the whole Appeals team. I am responsible for monitoring the on-line registrations for our events and for providing general administration support where needed.
Laura Baynham-Hughes – Corporate Fundraising Manager
My role at Christie's is to develop and deliver our corporate fundraising strategy. Companies can support us in a wide range of ways from choosing us as their charity for a year, to funding a specific project, to linking up with us on commercial projects. We provide support to existing corporate partners and are always looking to develop new mutually beneficial corporate partnerships.
Emma Kennedy - Corporate Partnerships Officer
My role is to develop and support a network of corporate partners across the region. I help companies to fulfill their corporate social responsibility objectives by playing a positive role in the community. Plant - Regional Appeals Officer
I am the Regional Appeals Officer for Bury, Bolton, Prestwich, Whitefield, Cheetham Hill, Middleton, Chadderton, Oldham, Saddleworth, Burnley, Pendle, Accrington, Darwen, Rochdale, Littleborough, Milnrow, Wigan, Atherton, Leigh, Rossendale and Rawtenstall. My job is to offer fundraisers advice about how to raise funds in the correct manner, explaining about charity law. I also visit people in their homes to give advice and see if they would like to join a fundraising group within their area.

Newhall - Regional Appeals Officer
I am the Regional Appeals Officer for areas including Altrincham, Burnley, Chester, Liverpool, Fylde, Warrington, Worsley, Salford and Tameside. My job is to offer fundraisers advice about how to raise funds in the correct manner, explaining about charity law. I also visit people in their homes to give advice and see if they would like to join a fundraising group within their area.
Sue Bowden - Development Officer
My main role is to apply for grants from charitable trusts and foundations. This involves researching potential funders and then submitting written funding proposals for our priority projects. I also keep the Appeals Team up to date with factsheets and information about the projects and equipment that the hospital's charity has agreed to support.

Gooding - Donations Team Manager
My role in the Administration Department is to supervise my team of administrators in the processing of all gifts to the Charity. I look after the practical issues of banking the cash/cheques, monitoring On-line donations, processing of Standing Orders & Direct Debits and the receipt of all Justgiving website donations. I ensure that all our donors are thanked promptly and appropriately.
I co-ordinate the Volunteers in the Office to ensure tasks and mailings are actioned in a timely manner. The team and I welcome visitors, take donations and offer support with Fundraising and answer incoming calls.

Proctor - Donations Administrator
I am a member of the Administration Team. My role is to ensure that all donations are processed accurately and donors are thanked promptly for their gifts. I look after the Tribute gifts from family and friends that are donated in memory of a loved one and ensure that they are notified of gifts received in a caring and sensitive manner.

Barlow - Donations Administrator
My role in the Administration Team is to ensure all gifts are processed promptly and accurately, thanking all donors by letter. I meet and greet visitors to the Appeals Office, taking donations, offering support and directing them to the appropriate member of the team. I am also responsible for researching and purchasing appropriate retail goods for the Charity and raise invoices for items sold.
Heather Roberston - Donations Assistant/Receptionist
My main role is to answer the incoming telephone calls to the Appeals Department and if necessary direct the call to the appropriate person within the Team to assist them.
I meet and greet visitors, donors and fundraisers to the department. I accept, receipt and record the donations and then assist with the processing of the gifts. I monitor our retail goods and collate any items to be hired out for Events.
