Thomas Hambrock received his basic medical training at the University of Pretoria, South Africa (1997-2002). After graduation he moved to the UK working as House Officer and Senior House Officer positions at different locations within England, Wales and Scotland. Thereafter he moved to Nijmegen, Netherlands where he obtained a PhD (Cum Laude) entitled: "The Value of 3T MR Imaging in the Detection and Aggressiveness Assessment of Prostate Cancer". During this time Thomas received 6 International awards for his work on prostate cancer MRI. Subsequent specialist training in radiology was conducted at the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, Netherlands. He took up a consultant position at The Christie NHS Trust to further his career as an oncological radiologist.
