RELEASE 'Social' effort for Peggy nets £2,350 Friends and colleagues of Wythenshawe Social Services worker Peggy Walker held a social hoping to raise £1,000 in her memory. Instead, the event at Wythenshawe's Shell Sports & Social Club, was so well supported that they received £2,348 which is being split equally between the 'Christie's' appeal and the Rainbow Family Trust. People paid £3.50 a ticket and supported football tickets and raffle and a great auction which included signed footballs from both Manchester City and United," added Tracey. Ends For further
