RELEASE Knockout way of sponging for Christie's
Teams of ten friends from work, groups, the pub or just the same street who don't mind getting wet, covered in foam, climbing inflatable and other obstacles to swell the £25m centenary appeal of Manchester's The Christie. Aided by Sandbach firemen and their ducking stool float, dancers from Crewe's Masquerade School of Performing Arts, (left to right) Naomi Savage, Louisa Simon, Fiona Hopkinson and Louise Gray demonstrate what to expect when the TV style 'It's a Knock Out' charity event takes place at Wythenshawe Park, Manchester, on Sunday August 6. Christie's are seeking teams of ten fun-d lovers pledged to raise £1,000 minimum to take part (£100 each). Said Christie Appeals project manager Paul Bailey. "This coming year is crucial for our appeal, so support for this professionally organised 'It's A Knock Out' event will be a tremendous boost for us as we start the last lap towards our target. " Full details and sponsor forms from Paul on 0161 446 3988 or e-mail appeal@christies.org Ends For further
