Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride - Sunday 8 July - for the
last two years this has been our most successful sponsored fundraising
event raising over £180k for Christie's. Why not join our team of cyclists
taking part in this year's 60-mile ride.
Manchester Healthstart Lifestyles Festival - we are the nominated charity
for a series of seven events, for both the active and not so active, taking
place in July. See the flyer
for further details.
Celebrations
2001 - come and join us at The Christie on Saturday 14th
July. For the first time we are holding our Christie's Open Day and
the Friends Summer Fayre on one extra-special day. Add to the mix a Birthday
Party to celebrate our 100th year and you have a great occasion for all the
family.
The
British 10k Open Road Race - 22 July - we have 12 guaranteed entries for
this unique 10 kilometre (6.2 mile) run which will take you past some of London's
best known landmarks. You can find a printable application form here.
If you're contemplating entering the Manchester Marathon (23rd September)
you'll find an official entry form here,
and an Appeal sponsorship form here.
It's a Knockout - Sunday 30 September, Wythenshawe Park,
Manchester - We are looking for teams of ten people that don't mind
getting very wet, covered in foam and climbing a variety of inflatable
obstacles all to raise money for The Christie's appeal.
Your team can take part
for free! All you have to do is raise a minimum amount of £1,000 in
team sponsorship money (just £100 per person). The cost of entering
a team is only £350 - meaning that at least £650 will be donated to
Christie's. (You get get a printable flyer for this event here).
To reserve your
company's place contact Paul Bailey at the Appeals Office on 0161 446 3178
or email appeal@christies.org
Inkjet
& Toner Cartridge Recycling - we've teamed up with another of
the region's favourite charities, The Big Issue in the North West Trust,
to raise even more money for two great causes.
Our
factsheet 'Tax-Effective Giving - a guide for company donors', is still
available. It can be printed
out online or obtained from the Appeals Office. It highlights
the tax changes made in last year's budget. We hope that it will be
of interest, as it will help you to make your company's charitable donations
to work even harder for Christie's. Although this may not be directly
relevant to you we'd be very grateful if you could draw it to the attention
of the most appropriate person in your office.
And if you want other information or advice on how your company might help
the Appeal then don't hesitate to phone us on 0161 446 3988 or email appeal@christies.org
